smoothfm 95.3 is an easy listening station in Sydney and is owned by Nova Entertainment. Launched in 2005, it is Sydney's fourth FM-only and latest commercial station.

The station has had many formats over its short history. It started as Vega 95.3, an adult contemporary station with a mix of talk. After a year, the talk was removed to compete with WSFM, Mix 106.5 (now KIIS 106.5) and Triple M.

Vega 95.3 format was too broad with the other commercial FM stations offering their targetted formats. In 2010, after five years on air, the station became Classic Rock 95.3. This format lasted only two years.

In 2012 it changed to the unrepresented easy listening format. The station was renamed smoothfm 95.3 to reflect the new format.
